I take the time machine back to Columbus, Ohio in the early to mid-1970s this week with my guest Tom Klaban. Tom kicked for the Ohio State Buckeyes from 1972-1975, but his story before this is unbelievable. He escaped the Iron Curtain as a kid and his venture is so fascinating. After several years, he ended up in Ohio not speaking or understanding any English. At Ohio State, he played in 4 consecutive Rose Bowls and was a national championship contender for all 4 of those years. He was drafted in the 10th round of the 1976 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals. The NFL didn't work out for him, but he was a successful engineer for many years.
