We dot the "I" in Script Ohio this week with our guest Ray Ellis. Ray played at Ohio State from 1977-1980. He ended the Woody Hayes era and started the Earle Bruce era in 1979. Ohio State was highly successful these years playing in bowl games all 4 years with 2 of them major bowls. Ray also played for a national championship in the Rose Bowl on January 1, 1980. It took a last-minute drive by USC to beat Ohio State 17-16. Ray was one draft pick away from "Mr. Irrelevant". He competed in the Philadelphia Eagles pre-season camp with my co-host, Dave Parkin, for a spot in the defensive secondary. Ray won that competition and had a good career in the NFL for both the Eagles and Browns.
