Preston Dennard joins me this week. Preston is "The man nobody wanted." You may remember him as an NFL receiver with the Los Angeles Rams in the late 1970s through the early 1980s. Preston had an interesting high school career in Arizona as a multi-sport athlete. Arizona and Arizona State did not want him as a freshman recruit, therefore, he played at New Mexico from 1974-1977. Preston had a solid college career, but when it came to the 1978 NFL Draft, again, nobody wanted him and he signed as a free agent with the Los Angeles Rams. He had a good NFL career which lasted from 1978-1985 and also appeared in Super Bowl XIV. Preston currently co-hosts a podcast entitled Gridiron Icon with Stacey Baumann.
