Talking College Football History: Pete Koch

We look back this week to the "Heyday" of Maryland football.  I consider this period from the start of the Jerry Claiborne era (1972-1981) through the Bobby Ross era (1982-1986) as the "Heyday" of Maryland football history.  Our guest is Pete Koch (DL 1980-1983).  Pete was recruited by Jerry Claiborne and finished up in the Bobby Ross era.  Maryland was one of the last schools to employ the Wide Tackle 6 defensive concept and it was continued in the beginning of the Bobby Ross era.  The Claiborne/Ross years were a great time-period in Maryland football history (Total record:  116-56-4 with 11 bowl appearances).  Pete discusses his career at Maryland and the NFL (1984-1989) while also reviewing his career as an actor, with a role as Swede Johanson in the movie Heartbreak Ridge directed by Clint Eastwood.
