We are joined this week by Paul Woodside, arguably West Virginia's greatest place kicker. Paul played at West Virginia from 1981-1984. He walked on the football team in 1981 and had a severe stuttering problem, so bad that he had to provide Coach Don Nehlen a hand-written note about trying out for the football team as he could not get the words out. Paul holds many West Virginia records that still stand. He is 1st in career field goals made with 74 and 1st with four field goals made in a season (he actually did it twice in 1982). Paul is also 2nd and 3rd in single season field goals made (1982 and 1983). He was also part of the team that beat Penn State for the first time in 29 years (1984). Paul shares many stories of his WVU days and how he became a successful kicker.
