Talking College Football History: Melvin Robertson

I am not a "Bucket List" guy, but if I was, high on the list would be the coach who helped create the "Veer Offense" and also the coach who stopped Emory Bellard's wishbone offense in 1968. I found that Coach and he joins me this week on the podcast. Melvin Robertson "Coach Mad Dog" was one of the best defensive coaches in college football history. He coached from 1961-1993 at both the high school and collegiate levels. Mad Dog was at Houston from 1965-1971, Texas A&M from 1972-1978, and Mississippi State from 1979-1985, along with some other venues along his journey. His defenses were always ranked in the top echelon of collegiate ranks, and he is very astute to this day.  Coach is currently 96 years old and sharp as a tack. I hope you enjoy this podcast with one of the greats in College Football coaching history.
