Talking College Football History: George Visger

This week we travel to Boulder, CO in the late 1970s with my guest George Visger. George played at Colorado from 1976-1979 on the defensive line. The Buffaloes appeared in the 1977 Orange Bowl in George's freshman season. George played under head coach Bill Mallory for 3 years, then Chuck Fairbanks his senior season. He talks about the transition and the complications involved. The New York Jets chose George in the 6th round of the 1980 NFL Draft. He never played for the Jets but did play for the 49ers in 1980-1981 which included their 1st Super Bowl winning team. Unfortunately, George has had several brain surgeries which resulted in some devastating times in his life. He still fights short-term memory issues but is willing to share his story and I am blessed to help tell his story.
