Don Patterson is my guest this week. Don was an Army graduate and part of one of the best coaching staffs in college football history. The 1983 Iowa Hawkeye coaching staff included: Head Coach Hayden Fry along with assistants Bill Snyder, Kirk Ferentz, Dan McCarney, Barry Alvarez, Bob Stoops along with Don Patterson and a few others. Don accepted the Western Illinois head coaching position in 2007 and had a good stint there but had to resign due to cancer treatments. He came back and assisted at Buffalo and Connecticut before retiring. Don shares some great stories about his long coaching career.
