Author Tom Shanahan released a new book this year entitled The Right Thing to Do: The True Pioneers of College Football Integration in the 1960s. We hosted Tom on a previous book, Raye of Light, and this book goes deeper into Coach Duffy Daugherty and how he integrated college football. Duffy Daugherty at Michigan State won a National Championship in 1965 with a truly integrated football squad. His coaching tree is incredible with the likes of Dan Devine, Bill Yeoman and Chuck Fairbanks to name a few.
