I am joined this week by former coach Glenn Pires. Glenn was a 2-sport athlete at Springfield (MA) college before starting his coaching career. He was never a head coach but coached at every level from high school to the NFL. His first paid job was at Dartmouth College in 1985, and his last paid job was in the NFL with the Chicago Bears in 2018. Glenn was a linebackers coach primarily and served under Dick MacPherson, Joe Yukica, Buddy Teevens, Paul Pasqualoni and Nick Saban in the college ranks alone. He was never fired during the first 23 years of his coaching tenure, which is unheard of. This also testifies to how good he was as a linebackers coach. Enjoy this interview with one of the great linebacker coaches in history, Glenn Pires.
