We travel to Raleigh, North Carolina this week with my guest Freddie Combs. Freddie came out of Hertford, NC which is a small town in the Eastern part of the state of North Carolina. He was a twin with his brother Francis and they ended up playing high school baseball with a great teammate Jim "Catfish" Hunter. Freddie received a scholarship to N.C. State to play football and baseball along with his brother. He played football from 1964-1967. N.C. State won their first bowl game in 1967 in the Liberty Bowl by beating Georgia 14-7. N.C. State also made the College World Series in baseball in Freddie's senior season. Freddie still holds some N.C. State punt return records to this day.
