We travel to Raleigh, North Carolina this week with my guest Freddie Combs. Freddie came out of Hertford, NC which is a small town in the Eastern part of the state of North Carolina. He was a twin with his brother Francis and they ended up playing high school baseball with a great teammate Jim "Catfish" Hunter. Freddie received a scholarship to N.C. State to play football and baseball along with his brother. He played football from 1964-1967. N.C. State won their first bowl game in 1967 in the Liberty Bowl by beating Georgia 14-7. N.C. State also made the College World Series in baseball in Freddie's senior season. Freddie still holds some N.C. State punt return records to this day. Join me as we take the time machine back to the mid-1960s to Raleigh, NC with my guest Freddie Combs.
