We honor Auburn's winningest football coach this week. Ralph "Shug" Jordan coached at Auburn from 1951-1975 and even though Shug passed away in 1980, we have his son, Ralph Jordan, Jr. as our guest. Ralph, Jr. shares his introspection into not only "Coach" Shug, but what he was like as a man and father. Shug ended up with a career record of 176-83-6. He turned Auburn around quickly and ended up winning the National Championship in 1957, six years after taking over the program. Shug also presided over the team when Pat Sullivan won the Heisman Trophy in 1971, Auburn's first Heisman Trophy winner. This is the 50th anniversary of Shug's last Top 10 team (1974) and I hope you enjoy this look back into the career of Ralph "Shug" Jordan.
