In late 1991, our guest this week proclaimed that he planned on "taking the purple to Pasadena". Gary Barnett joins us this week and he made true on that promise in 1995 by taking the Northwestern Wildcats to the Rose Bowl. Gary was a wide receiver from 1966-1969 with the Dan Devine led Missouri Tigers. He coached in high school and at Fort Lewis until Bill McCartney called him to Colorado in 1984. Gary took the head coaching position at Northwestern in 1992 and was one of the greatest turn arounds in college football history. He left Northwestern to coach Colorado in 1999 through 2005. Gary is currently a color commentator for Colorado football radio. Enjoy this trip back in the time machine to one of the greatest turn arounds in college football history with Coach Gary Barnett.
