Talking College Football History: Browner Family

We are airing this podcast this week in honor of Jimmie Browner, who passed away on March 6, 2024.

It is rare to have a family with an impact on college football as the Browner family.  It is even rarer to have all of the surviving siblings on a podcast together.  But that is what we pulled off, a podcast with the greatest college football family in history, the Browner family.  The surviving brothers are Jimmie Browner, Willard Browner, Joey Browner and Keith Browner, Sr.  Unfortunately, Ross Browner passed away in 2022 and Gerald, possibly the best of the family, passed away in 2002.  Jimmie and Willard played at Notre Dame, with Willard finishing up at Utah State in 1980, while Joey and Keith played at USC.  Joey has the stats to be in the NFL Hall of Fame but has not gotten there yet.  Also, Ross's son Max Starks and Keith's son, Keith, Jr., made an impact in the NFL as well.  I hope you enjoy this special treat with the Browner family.  You will probably never see another family in college football that had the impact the Browner's made.
