UCLA has one Heisman Trophy winner in their history, and he is our guest this week. Gary Beban played at UCLA from 1965-1967. He was an integral part of the turnaround at UCLA. From 1962-1964 the Bruins compiled a record of 10-20, but when Gary came onto the scene, they went 24-5-2 over his 3-year stint. Gary's teams went 2-1 against their vaunted cross-town rivals, the USC Trojans. They also played a tremendous schedule including coming East frequently. Gary won the Heisman Trophy in 1967 which led to a 2nd round pick in the 1968 NFL Draft. He played for Vince Lombardi while at the Redskins. Gary shares some great stories when we go back to the mid 1960s on this week's episode.
