Talking College Football History: Ken Fritz

Ken Fritz passed away on February 6, 2024.  We re-air this podcast in honor of him.

This week we dot the I in Script OHIO with our guest Ken Fritz. Ken played at Ohio State from 1976-1979 most notably as an offensive lineman (1977-1979). He was part of the last 3 years of the Woody Hayes regime and that great team in 1979 that was 11-0 before losing to USC 17-16 in the 1980 Rose Bowl, coached by Earle Bruce. Ken shares his insights into his Ohio State career, including being a Consensus All-American in 1979 and his thoughts on attempting to hold Woody Hayes back after that fight in the infamous 1978 Gator Bowl.
