Talking Penn State Football History: Terry Rakowsky

Terry Rakowsky joins us this week. Terry played at Penn State from 1978-1981. He was recruited as a quarterback out of North Schuykill High School and was highly touted. He backed up Chuck Fusina in 1978 as a freshman when Penn State went 11-0 in the regular season and reached the #1 ranking for the first time in school history. Terry was moved to wide receiver in 1979 and made a great catch in the N.C. State game which led to a 54-yard game winning field goal by Herb Menhardt. He was unfortunately a product of bad luck within the Penn State program. Terry also played and lettered in baseball at Penn State. He left Penn State and became a successful dentist and also ended up coaching Central Bucks West girls basketball. Terry took that team from the doldrums and played in a PIAA state championship in a short time frame. Enjoy this conversation with Terry Rakowsky about his time at Penn State.
