Talking Penn State Football History: Micky Urquhart

Micky Urquhart is this week's guest. Micky is the epitome of what a Penn State player was in the Joe Paterno glory years of 1967-1995. He played from 1977-1980, starting out at the "Hero" position backing up Rick Donaldson and Rich Milot. He moved to defensive back his junior year and then played a wide receiver position in 1980. Micky played for the great teams of 1977-1978, which Rex wrote about in his book The Forgotten Seasons: Penn State Football 1977-1978. He then went through the turbulent 1979 season and finished with the long-forgotten rebuilding year of 1980. Micky became a successful professional after football, which is what Coach Paterno wanted as a member of his squad, and he shares a lot of insight into this same period of Penn State football. Sit back and enjoy reliving Micky's career as well as the 1980 Penn State football season.
