Talking Penn State Football History: Greg Jones

Greg Jones joins me this week. Greg came out of Laurel High School in New Castle, PA during the heyday of Pennsylvania high school football. He escaped the Pitt Panthers who just came off a national championship in 1976 to migrate to Happy Valley and play on the defensive side of the ball from 1977-1980. Greg backed up Tony Petruccio at middle guard in 1978 when the Nittany Lions went 11-0 in the regular season and reached the #1 ranking for the first time in school history. He was also co-captain of a very good defensive unit in 1980; the year Penn State started to build toward their first national championship. After football, Greg used his education at Penn State to advance his business career.
