We look back at Penn State's first national championship season this week. Our guest is Chris Sydnor who played defensive back on that squad. Chris played at PSU from 1981-1984. We not only discuss that national championship season, including the victory over Georgia in the Sugar Bowl, but also the rebuild of the Nittany Lions to lead into the 1985-1986 seasons, which culminated in Penn State's 2nd national championship. Chris was a vital part of the rebuild as well and led the team in interceptions with 5 in 1984.
