Talking Penn State Football History: Harold “Junior” Powell

I am privileged to host Harold "Junior" Powell as my guest this week. Junior played at Penn State from 1959-1963, redshirting in 1960. He came out of Lewistown High School and in 1958, his senior season, he was part of one of the best football teams in the USA. Junior was a prototypical "scat back" or "slot back" back in the day and has one of the best all-around yards per touch average in PSU history. The 1962 team was very close to an undefeated regular season with a hiccup to Army at West Point. It is nice to look back at the Rip Engle era of Penn State football, and I hope you enjoy this interview with Junior Powell.
