Micky Urquhart is this week's podcast guest. Micky is the epitome of what a Penn State player was in the Joe Paterno glory years of 1967-1995. He played from 1977-1980, starting out at the "Hero" position backing up Rick Donaldson and Rich Milot. He moved to defensive back his junior year and then played a wide receiver position in 1980. Micky played for the great teams of 1977-1978, which Rex wrote about in his book The Forgotten Seasons: Penn State Football 1977-1978. He then went through the turbulent 1979 season and finished with the long forgotten rebuilding year of 1980. Micky became a successful professional after football which is what Coach Paterno wanted as a member of his squad. Micky shares a lot of insight into this same period of Penn State football. Sit back and enjoy reliving Micky's career as well as the 40th anniversary of the 1980 Penn State football season.
