Sports Authors Showcase: The Called Shot by Tom Wolf

Author Tom Wolf joins me this week to discuss his book The Called Shot: Babe Ruth, the Chicago Cubs, & the Unforgettable Major League Baseball Season of 1932. Tom has written several pieces including books and essays. I was pleasantly surprised when I read this book. It was 300+ pages, but it was hard to put down. What I like about history books, including sports history, is when the author places me back in that time period. You can imagine yourself being back in that time, including the smell of the time, the "hustle and bustle" along with the events of that time. Tom did this very well and he consumes you in the time period. This was a fun interview looking at the 1932 baseball season and the events that culminated the time.
