Good news: Netflix has announced a documentary specifically focusing on Dale Earnhardt Jr. or JR Motorsports’ participation in the Daytona 500 due to…..

In a thrilling announcement for racing fans, Netflix has confirmed that they will be producing a documentary centered on the legendary Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his involvement in the iconic Daytona 500, one of the most prestigious events in NASCAR history. The documentary will offer an in-depth, behind-the-scenes look at Earnhardt Jr.’s participation in this race, his legacy within the sport, and the significant role of his racing team, JR Motorsports, in shaping the future of NASCAR.

Dale Earnhardt Jr., a name synonymous with NASCAR, has built an impressive career that includes two Daytona 500 wins, 26 Cup Series victories, and a legacy that has transcended the sport. The upcoming Netflix documentary aims to highlight his incredible journey through the high-speed world of NASCAR, providing fans with a rare and intimate view of what goes on behind the wheel and beyond. Earnhardt Jr.’s unparalleled passion for racing, coupled with his natural charisma, has made him one of the most beloved figures in motorsports. Now, Netflix seeks to capture that spirit on film, focusing on his connection to the Daytona 500.

The documentary is expected to explore not only Earnhardt Jr.’s personal experiences but also his leadership at JR Motorsports, the racing team he co-owns. JR Motorsports has become a powerhouse in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, with a reputation for developing young talent and cultivating a competitive edge. Fans will get an inside look at how the team operates, with a focus on their participation in the Daytona 500 and the challenges they face as a small team competing against NASCAR’s biggest names.

For many, Earnhardt Jr.’s relationship with the Daytona 500 is one of nostalgia, triumph, and heartbreak. As the son of the late Dale Earnhardt, Sr., whose tragic death in a crash at the Daytona 500 in 2001 sent shockwaves throughout the racing world, Dale Jr. has a unique and emotional connection to the race. Over the years, he has become a symbol of perseverance, returning to the Daytona 500 not only as a driver but as a representative of his father’s legacy. The documentary will surely delve into how this personal history shaped his career and his approach to the sport, especially at Daytona, where his victories have resonated deeply with fans.

Additionally, the documentary will highlight the broader impact of JR Motorsports in the world of NASCAR, a team that has nurtured some of the sport’s brightest stars. With its focus on talent development, JR Motorsports has been instrumental in the careers of drivers such as Chase Elliott and Justin Allgaier, who have gone on to achieve great success in NASCAR. The team’s participation in the Daytona 500 is an exciting chapter in its story, and the documentary will capture the thrill and challenges of competing in one of the most important races in the world.

The decision to document this journey comes at a time when motorsports, particularly NASCAR, are experiencing a resurgence in popularity, thanks in part to streaming platforms like Netflix. With racing documentaries like Formula 1: Drive to Survive already drawing large audiences, Netflix aims to expand its catalog with high-quality content that appeals to both hardcore fans and newcomers to the sport. By focusing on a figure as iconic as Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his team’s involvement in the Daytona 500, this documentary promises to be a thrilling, emotional, and engaging watch for anyone with a love for racing.

While the release date is yet to be confirmed, anticipation for the documentary is already building. Racing enthusiasts, Dale Earnhardt Jr. fans, and sports documentary lovers alike are eager to experience this intimate look at one of NASCAR’s most enduring figures and his team’s pursuit of glory at the Daytona 500. This is undoubtedly a significant moment for Netflix and NASCAR fans, offering a fresh perspective on the sport’s rich history and its exciting future.

The checkered flag has fallen on the 2025 Indoor Auto Racing Championship Series, with over $100,000 in prize money distributed among the 244 competitors who registered for the events.

The three-race series, held in Northeast arenas, featured two events on concrete surfaces: the Ironton Global Allentown Indoor Race at the PPL Center in Allentown, PA on January 3-4, followed by the NAPA Auto Parts Atlantic City Indoor Races at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on January 31 and February 1.

The season finale, the East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals presented by BELFOR, took place at the CURE Insurance Arena in Trenton, NJ on February 21-22.

Ryan Flores and Andy Jankowiak dominated victory lane in the TQ Midget division, each securing two wins. Jankowiak, the 2025 series champion, earned $11,275 across the four-race series, including $2,000 courtesy of Hoosier Tire for winning the mini-series title.

Victories for the Tonawanda, NY driver came on Saturday night at the PPL Center and the BlackJack 21 on Friday night in Atlantic City. With additional finishes of fifth and fourth in Atlantic City and Allentown, Jankowiak edged out Flores by just nine points to claim the championship.

Although Jankowiak claimed the title, Ryan Flores was the top money earner of the series, pocketing just over $17,000. His impressive haul included a $10,000 payday for his Gambler’s Classic victory in Atlantic City, which included bonus money from the AC Sports Commission and the Ironton Auto Body challenge.

Flores, fell just short of collecting the challenge after a Friday night win in Allentown and a runner-up finish to Jankowiak on Saturday night. An eighth-place finish on Friday night in Atlantic City, was his only blemish netting him second place in points and an extra $1,000.

Other Notable Finishers In TQ Midget Division:

Briggs Danner: Consistent throughout the series, Danner secured third place in points, taking home $5,475 despite never winning a race. His three third-place finishes and a mechanical DNF in Allentown kept him just behind the top two.

Tommy Catalano & Tanner VanDoren: Both drivers who rounded out the top five in points and earned over $3,600 in prize money.

Success Beyond The TQs

Scott Kreutter & Kyle Lick performed well in the TQ Midget division but also thrived in the newly introduced 600 Micro Sprint division in Atlantic City. Kreutter’s victory in the 600 Micro Sprint added to his total earnings, pushing him just under $3,000.

Slingshot Champion Paulie Hartwig III dominated the division, winning two of the three races, including the Gambler’s Classic in Atlantic City, for a total of $3,100. The series title, sponsored by Action Track USA, earned him an extra $500, with his Atlantic City victory netting him $2,000.

Dylan Hoch secured the remaining feature win on Saturday night in Allentown, earning $1,200 for his Indoor Series efforts. Scott Neary: through consistent performances, including finishes of fifth, second, and third, came home second in the points.

In the Champ Karts, much like the TQ Midgets, Missy Bootes scored the series title worth $500 from Hoosier Tire, with one victory coming Friday night in Allentown and a pair of runner-up finishes pushing her season winnings to $2,050.

The runner-up finish in Atlantic City was especially bittersweet for the only female Indoor Series winner, as Mike Perry took home $2,500 for the Gambler’s Classic win. Perry, who chose not to compete in Allentown but supported multiple other drivers under his RPM Karting banner, wasn’t in the running for the series title, but took home the biggest payday.

East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals Highlights:

The Bealer family consisting of father Pat and son Zach dominated the East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals, sweeping the weekend taking home the biggest pay days.

Zach Bealer: On Friday night at the East Coast Indoor Dirt Nationals, Bealer took home $2,250 for his victory. He strategically selected his starting position (spot five), which included an additional $1,250 ($250 per spot) in bonus money on top of the base $1,000 winner’s prize.

Pat Bealer: On Saturday night, Bealer dominated the 40-lap feature, starting sixth and claiming the $5,000 prize for his victory.

Saturday night runner-up Kenny Miller left Trenton with over $2,000 in prize money, thanks a $500 Bob Hilbert Sportswear Dash for Cash victory and $1,600 second place check.

The 2025 Indoor Auto Racing Championship Series featured an exciting mix of veteran drivers to rising stars, leaving fans and competitors yearning for more! Special thank you to all the series, event and special award sponsors for helping make the events a success.

Plans for the 2026 season are already underway with a similar schedule planned starting with the Allentown on January 9 and 10, followed by Atlantic City January 30 and 31 and the Trenton Dirt race on February 20 and 21.
