Penn State is known as "Linebacker U" and our guest was part of that special group. Ron Hostetler joins us on the show this week and he was an outstanding linebacker, although he came to Penn State as a quarterback. Ron played in Happy Valley from 1973-1977. In 1973, he was one of seven quarterbacks Joe Paterno brought in as freshmen and quickly was converted to linebacker. Ron intercepted two passes in the 1977 Pitt game which helped propel Penn State to a 15-13 win on a very cold day at Pitt Stadium. He played with these great linebackers during his career: Greg Buttle, Kurt Allerman, Jim Rosecrans, Tom DePaso, Rick Donaldson, Paul Suhey and Lance Mehl to name a few. Ron shares some great memories and stories about his career at Penn State.
