Our guest this week was one of Penn State's most versatile players in history. Shelly Hammonds came on the scene in 1990 at Chestnut Hill, MA when he rushed for over 200 yards as the Lions defeated Boston College 40-21. He was moved to the offensive side of the ball for the 1990 and 1991 seasons, even though he preferred defense. Shelly finished his career at PSU as a defensive back in 1992 and 1993. He was also a force in returning kickoffs which makes him one of a special group that played offense, defense and special teams with the likes of Gary Brown and Mike Guman. Shelly discusses just how good those early 1990s Penn State teams were and the competition he had on both sides of the ball.
