Rich Tobias & Doug Rose are all set to begin their 13th season of heart thumping, adrenaline pumping excitement at Foley Action Track USA on the Kutztown Fairgrounds. The 2025 season opener takes place on Sunday, May 4, kicking off another clay-kickin' variety of small, medium, and big car competition. Later in the year, yet another mind blowing, first-time-ever at Kutztown appearance will occur by one of the most popular divisions of dirt track racing machines--the Super Late Models are scheduled for a Sunday, September 7 visit to Berks County's Baddest Bullring!

In addition to the Super Lates, all of the fan-favorite divisions are returning to Foley Action Track USA this season. The Short Track Super Series Modifieds make their third visit on Tuesday, May 27, with a June 10 rain date. Canadian Matt Williamson is the defending race winner, while Mike Gular captured the first STSS win in Kutztown in 2023.

The AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Car tour makes a return engagement, as part of the annual Eastern Storm, on Sunday, June 22. Last year's event featured a scintillating duel for the win, with Logan Seavey barely beating local star Briggs Danner to the checkered flag.

The USAC East Coast Sprint Cars are once again penciled in--twice--on the 2025 schedule. They make their first appearance of the season on Wednesday, July 9 for the Iron Cowboy Classic. The fast and furious non-wing 360 Sprint Cars come back on Sunday, August 17, as part of the Dick Tobias Classic.

The Xtreme Outlaw Midgets will highlight the Wednesday, August 6 show, visiting once again during the annual Kutztown Fair.

Several additional classes and special events make up the Foley Action Track USA calendar for 2025, and it all begins on Sunday, May 4.

An afternoon Matinee program leads off the opening day activities, featuring the winged 270cc Micro Sprints and Xcel 600 Modifieds. Pits open at 11 a.m. for the Matinee event, with cars hitting the track at 12:30 p.m.

The evening portion of motorized mayhem will include the All Pro SpeedSTRs, the Hyper Racing 600 Sprints, along with the All Star & Junior Slingshots.

During the evening's program, there will be a special ceremony as a section of the grandstand will be dedicated to and named for one of Berks County's most successful and popular Micro Sprint racers--the late Pete Skias.

Skias, who lost a courageous and hard fought battle with cancer in 2024, competed regularly at the former Kutztown Fair Speedway, before it became Action Track USA. He scored a lone Kutztown triumph on July 25, 2012, winning the 270 feature that night. Despite the fact that he made limited starts on the Action Track USA layout, his success at various Micro Sprint venues throughout the tri-state region made him a 270cc guru and prompted Tobias & Rose to dedicate a section of the stands in his memory. One of Pete's sons, accomplished racer Nick Skias, was at a loss for words when informed of the dedication plans.

"I'm just completely blown away by this...just don't know what to say. What a cool gesture and great honor for my dad," related Skias.

Several members of the Skias family will be in attendance on May 4 when the track unveils the sign bearing Pete's name and car number over his section of the grandstand.

Pit gates open at 4 p.m., while grandstand gates swing open at 5:00. Warm ups commence at 6:00, with opening ceremonies and qualifying heats immediately following the hot lap sessions.

Adult General Admission is $18, with Senior Citizens enjoying an admission price of $16. Youth between the ages of six and 12 are just $5, and children aged five and under are admitted FREE.

The track is located on the Kutztown Fairgrounds at 144 North Whiteoak Street, Kutztown, PA 19530.

The races at Foley Action Track USA are live streamed as PPV events at DirtTrackDigest.tv.

.Following the success of last season’s inaugural The Big Series, co-promoters Doug Dulgarian and Brett Hearn are deep into preparations for this year’s expanded The Big Series 2, five race meets scheduled across the spring and summer months at the historic Orange County Fair Speedway in Middletown, New York.  The Big Series 2 celebrates the 106 year tradition of racing at the one-half-mile clay oval.

The five Big Series 2 race meets include a fast-pace, three division program of qualifying heats and feature races headlined by the DIRT-sanctioned Big-Block Modifieds.  Also in competition will be the unpredictable Sportsman and the popular full-bodied Street Stocks.  “We have designed a grassroots series in the spirit of keeping the speedway that we love alive,” says co-promoter Brett Hearn, who is also the track’s all-time winning driver.  “Last year’s highly successful season proved that a limited Sunday night racing schedule could be sustainable. We had great car counts in 2024, and for 2025 there have been verbal commitments from many new competitors that like the idea of running a mini-series.”

Set for Sunday, May 4, Opening Night is presented by Falanga Trucking, with the 30-lap Modified feature designated “The Joey Falanga Memorial,” honoring a former Orange County competitor who lost is life in a non-racing accident.  A “test and tune” session on Saturday evening, May 3 will precede the opener.

On Sunday, June 8, the immensely popular 19th edition of Doug Dulgarian’s Nostalgia Night welcomes former competitors back to Orange County for a celebration of past glory.  Activities, including a huge driver autograph session, will begin earlier in the afternoon.  The entire three-division program is sponsored by Escape Power Sports.

The week after the Independence Day Holiday, on Sunday, July 13, longtime Orange County competitor and supporter Steve Dodd Plumbing & Heating present Full Fender Nostalgia Night, with the Street Stocks taking the spotlight with their “Friends of the Traverse Family” feature race boosted by increased prize money and bonus awards.  The Modifieds and Sportsman complete the evening’s activities.

The Orange County Fairgrounds dates from the mid-1800s; the first auto race was held on August 15, 1919.  And on Sunday, August 3, the Big Series 2 celebrates 106 years of auto racing at the venerable speedway.  Superior Remodeling presents the evening’s full program of racing.

The Big Series 2 concludes its summer run on Sunday, September 7, Champions Night, sponsored by SRS Projects, will see all three division champions crowned.  Each of the three feature races are titled “Henry Sharp Memorial,” in honor of a former longtime competitor.  The evening also serves as a preview of the upcoming 64th Annual Eastern States Weekend, Thursday-Sunday, October 23-26, 2025.

Fans please note that admissions to the five Big Series 2 race meets remain the same as 2024: Adult general admission stands or drive-in $20, seniors and active service personnel $15, children 12 and under $5.  Party Deck $30 with two-person minimum.  Competitors’ pit passes $35.

Pits open at 3:00 pm, spectator gates at 4:00 pm(Nostalgia Nights earlier).  Cars on the track at 5:00 pm.  Racing at 6:00 pm.

In addition, participants will enjoy several iconic stops and activities, including visits to the Henry Ford Museum and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, laps at Watkins Glen International, and more.

And the best part of all? Knowing that each mile we travel helps put smiles on the faces of the kids at Victory Junction.”

Spectators along the 2025 route are encouraged to attend one of the Ride’s seven overnight stops or daily pit stops to greet Petty and the riders, purchase memorabilia and make donations.

Shake N Bake Sports (@_SNBSports), a newly formed multimedia sports and entertainment company, is launching a Youtube series featuring some of NASCAR’s young stars.

Co-Founders of the group, which includes NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) drivers Connor Zilisch, Daniel Dye and Jesse Love, along with industry members Collin Fern and Will Rodgers, 500 Club Professional Alex Fourie and group professional “Rip”, was created to showcase the lives and friendships of some of the sports’ household names away from the race track, with new episodes dropping weekly.

“I am really pumped to showcase this group of guys and how much fun we have, even though we may be rivals on the race track,” said NXS driver and 2024 Sunoco Rookie of the Year winner, Jesse Love. “Fans see us go head-to-head against each other on track each week, but this gives us a chance to show that not only are we fierce competitors, but great friends as well.”

Along with Love, the series will feature his friends and NXS 2025 Sunoco Rookie of the Year contenders, Connor Zilisch and Daniel Dye.

“We see each other at the race track each weekend with the mindset to win, and during the week, we are able to have fun and compete in a different way, said Will Rodgers, former driver and current spotter in all three of NASCAR’s top series. “Our friendship doesn’t diminish our professional relationships, but instead, strengthens the bond we have as friends.”

“This is just a great chance to show race fans and honestly fans of all sports the athleticism and personalities that we strive for from our drivers in this industry”, Collin Fern, Shake N Bake Sports co-creator said.

“Getting to know this group of gentleman over the past few years has been a huge honor for me personally” Rip,” Shake N Bake Sports CEO added. “Just to see the consummate professionals they are at the race track and to see their fire and desire to win both on and off the track is rewarding.”
